The PTT-B80 Bleeding Control Part Task Trainer is a simulated lower torso, depicting a complete leg amputation and a gunshot wound to the groin.
Product Features:
Featuring a PATENTED and PATENT PENDING mechanically responsive blood flow system, along with SOFTTECH® and ROCKTECH® materials, this realistic training device responds to the following medical interventions:
- Tourniquet application
- Abdominal Aortic Tourniquet
- Junctional Tourniquet
- Proximal pressure
- Wound packing
The PTT-B80 is designed to work with Skedco® simulation equipment. Alternatively, it can be connected to a hand pump or the WW3-BRP Blood Supply Pump (pump not included with the device).
Construction
- The skin and tissues represented in the PTT-B80 are constructed of high-quality silicone rubber, with layered coloration for depth and realism. The SOFTTECH® material has a realistic feel while being highly durable and UV resistant. The skin also contains a reinforcing fabric for added strength and tear resistance in the event of a puncture or cut.
- The internal structure of the PTT-B80 is a cast aluminum construction for strength and durability. The minimum wall thickness is 3/16 inch, allowing the user to apply body weight for proximal pressure interventions. The casting has a precision machined joint for a simple, solid bolted connection with the lid. The core contains anatomical landmarks palpable from the outside to assist in proper placement of bleeding control devices.
- The internal cavity lid of the PTT-B80 is made of fully machined black anodized aluminum. It contains a recessed mounting surface for blood system connections, protecting them from damage. The lid features a handle for easy transport and markings indicating the relationship between ports and wounds.
- The PATENTED AND PATENT PENDING bleeding system consists of blood flow lines, tourniquet response mechanisms, and wound structure for packing. When proper medical interventions are applied, bleeding stops.
