Venous Ulcer CS008

A self-adhesive venous ulcer represents a wound that occurs due to venous valve insufficiency, leading to venous hypertension, and consequently, venous insufficiency.

The stretching of the vein walls allows proteins and blood cells to permeate into the subcutaneous tissues, leading to tissue breakdown due to a deficiency in oxygen and nutrients.

Venous ulcers manifest as shallow but extensive wounds with irregular borders.

This simulator allows the instructor, role-player, or student to apply the wound to a body, giving the instructor the opportunity to demonstrate real treatment methods. The simulator can also be used in conjunction with training skin on a table (sold separately) as a teaching aid for classroom practice.
